The worst part about crushing on someone is finding the courage to tell them. It’s having enough strength to tell them how your heart truly feels. It’s hard to do that because your brain never agrees. Your brain keeps telling you no, while your heart tells you to go for it. And as much as it hurts, you usually do what your brain tells you. Not because you’re scared. But because you just don’t believe in yourself any more. You start to think too deeply into it and you over analyse the situation. You start thinking about things that are wrong with you and all of your flaws. And you begin to question yourself, “What’s so special about me? They’d never like someone like me.. I mean.. look at me..” Then at the end of the day, nothing happens between the both of you. And everything that your heart wants to say, remains unsaid.
It’s hard to tell someone how you feel. That’s why when someone does do it to you, you should never take that for granted. If someone mustered up enough courage to tell you that they like you, respect that. It took a lot of their own personal conviction just to say it to you.
